PROVIDENCE PAC! PRINCESS KATIE & RACER STEVE "KIDS ROCK!" TOUR

Cool Mom Picks Says, "Princess Katie Represents The Feisty Royalty Everywhere!"

There are holiday gift packs for fans of the band's bouncy kids music, but what I really like are the Feisty Princess t-shirts which I know quite a few girls would get a kick out of. Pair a Feisty Princess shirt with the terrific 2008 Fast & Feisty CD and you've got a thoughtful gift for your favorite little girl who doesn't conform to the rules laid out in the official princess handbook. -Liz

The Princess Katie & Racer Steve KIDSTOCK Show - WestonCTMoms

"Mark your calendars for Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 2-4 pm! If you missed Princess Katie and Racer Steve at the Levitt Pavilion this summer, you can catch them at Weston’s Kidstock at the Intermediate School. Tickets are $12 (advanced) and $15 (at the door).
Moms, your kids will love them. Actually, I think you will start bopping around, too! At the kidstock concert this year, one cool mom did “the robot” on stage and at Levitt Pavilion, Princess Katie led a parade of excited, hopping kids all around the picnic area (very interactive show!).
At the end of the show, the kids even got to meet the dynamic duo and the rest of the band. My daughter’s Halloween costumes (princess rock star) this year were heavily influenced by Princess Katie. Don’t miss this show!!!
Visit their website and follow them on twitter @KidsRockMusic."

HALLOWEEN EVENTS WITH PRINCESS KATIE & RACER STEVE

The main entrance of the park at Duane St. is currently closed due to the construction of a new comfort station, so the children will march down Greenwich St. into the temporary park entrance at Reade St. The staff at Zucker’s Bagels will be waiting for them when they’re done marching, dressed up and giving away candy bags and mini chocolate bagels. The folks at Tribeca Treats at 94 Reade St. will also be giving out candy, and the Cosmopolitan Cafe on W. Broadway is holding a free apple festival from 2 p.m. until dark, where kids can enjoy candy apples and apple cider donuts, learn to press apples with a 150-year-old press, and go apple bobbing.

AOL: Princess Katie & Racer Steve: Kids' Music Parents Love
If you're one Barney singalong away from losing your mind, it's time to get to know Princess Katie & Racer Steve. The duo is a wonderful breath of fresh air in the world of children's entertainment.
The couple got their start as a band when Katie enlisted Steve to perform with her in New York hospitals and events for at-risk kids. Though they'd never been songwriters, those kids inspired the duo to create something spectacular. When you put Princess Katie & Racer Steve's Songs for the Coolest Kids or Fast & Feisty in your CD player, you won't hear the usual high-pitched vocals and circus soundtrack noise that you find on most kids' albums. Princess Katie sings in an actual human voice -- often compared to Natalie Merchant -- while husband Racer Steve rocks a guitar like the big boys. Princess Katie & Racer Steve are far more than simply bearable for parents -- you'll probably love them as much as your kids do.
Repetition is no problem with the Princess Katie & Racer Steve albums, because each album offers up a great mix of different styles, including country, rock, rap, jazz, and Latin-inspired tunes. The sound is hip and mature, and the lyrics are packed with positive messages for kids. Princess Katie & Racer Steve's songs encourage kids to use their imaginations, always try their hardest, be kind and keep a positive attitude.
The Princess Katie & Racer Steve live show is an experience that children and parents alike will enjoy -- a high energy, family-friendly rock and roll show. The band will be on tour in early 2010 to promote their upcoming album, Tiny Cool, scheduled for a February 16 release. Here's a list of confirmed tour dates -- see if Katie & Steve are coming to your town:
- January 17th at the Providence PAC in Providence, RI- February 6th at the Durham Performing Arts Center in Durham, NC
- February 18th at the Stocker Center in Elyria, Ohio
- February 20th at the Pasant Theater in East Lansing, MI
- February 21st at the Music Hall in Detroit, MI
- February 27th at the Moore Theater in Seattle, WA
- March 20th at the Lebanon Opera House in Lebanon, NH
If you can't get to one of these shows, you can still enjoy the live Princess Katie & Racer Steve experience with their live concert DVD, Revved Up and Ready to Rock! These albums and this DVD will make a great gift for any family. Don't forget to check back in February for Tiny Cool.
